Developing robust and flexible systems of automated construction requires machine protocols which adapt to irregular resources and situations. To develop these tools, a waste material—used egg shells—are adopted as a model construction material. An algorithm is then implemented which allows a six-axis robotic arm to recognize, sort, and assemble this material into a lightweight wall.
